How to Clean Snow Boots

1. If the shoes are accidentally stained with ink, how to remove them?

If you accidentally get ink stains on your snow boots, you can use a small knife to evenly scrape a certain amount of white chalk powder to cover the stain, let the white chalk powder stay on the boots for a few minutes, and then tap off the top of chalk powder, rub gently on the spot.

Repeat the above operation several times until the stain is almost completely removed.

For very serious stains, girls can try to use sandpaper to gently wipe off the stains or brush lightly with a special brush for cleaning suede, but please note that doing so may cause a small amount of fading of the original color of the sheepskin on the stain. (Can be tinted with suede refresher for a new look)

2. How to remove rain spots?

Sometimes when your shoes step on the standing water on the ground, the upper will be stained by the splashing water, which is also called rain spots.

Usually if you want to remove these rain spots, just fold the stained areas against each other and rub the two sides against each other so that the stains on both sides are rubbed away from each other.

3. How to get rid of the smell of boots after wearing for a long time?

Use two teaspoons of baking soda mixed with two teaspoons of cornmeal in the boots to remove and reduce odors in the boots.

If you want, you can add a few drops of essential oil to the mixture just now to fragrant the shoes. Pour the mixture into the boots and shake, then leave it in overnight. Shake the mixture again the next day and pour it out.

4. How to clean snow boots daily:

Wet the body of the snow boot with cold or lukewarm water. But don't over-soak and it's very important not to use hot water for cleaning!

Because that will reduce the viscosity of the sole and shoe glue and damage the natural elasticity of the leather, which will cause the snow boot sole to open and the shoe body to shrink.

The correct cleaning method is to use a clean sponge brush or soft brush to thoroughly and evenly brush the entire surface of the shoe body. A fine-bristled toothbrush can also be used to help with the cleaning process.

Once the shoes are brushed and rinsed, the boots can be spun in the washing machine for a few minutes to remove excess moisture from the boots. Snow boots need to be left to dry naturally.

Remember not to use a dryer to dry or expose your boots to the hot sun. When drying, place the sole upside down and stand the entire shoe upside down. The shoe will dry completely within a day or two.

You will notice that once the shoe has dried completely, the shoe will shrink a little, don't worry, this is normal. After an hour or so of wearing, the shoes will return to their former warm and comfortable fit, and more importantly - the boots are clean and beautiful!

Clean boots that have been washed and dried can be combined with a waterproof spray to enhance the water resistance of the boots.

Once the boots have been fully cared for, the surface of the shoe body can be gently brushed in one direction with the special fluff brush to help restore the natural, beautiful, smooth texture of the natural fluff on the suede surface.

Boots can last for years with the proper care above.

Precautions for cleaning pure sheepskin snow boots:

  • Never use water or detergent to clean it, because it will leave traces and lose its original luster.

  • It is recommended to gently brush the surface with a soft cloth or brush, and then wipe the entire surface with a special leather cleaner. Cleaners can be purchased from the market.

  • For hard-to-remove dirt, apply a small amount of special cleaner to the thick dirt and let it sit for a period of time, then wipe it off with a soft cloth. After drying, apply another coat of leather care oil to the surface.
